As a long time skills trainer, Coach RJ lamented the limitations of the traditional Club formula and inspired by the positive response from parents and young athletes to his innovative training methods, he set out to create something truly different and special.
Alamat is a Filipino word meaning Legends. And this precisely what Coach RJ is trying to do. Using this word as his guiding principle, he strives to use his decades of experience and wisdom to shape the future legends of BC basketball.
Coach RJ has long known that Richmond, BC is a hotbed of passionate basketball fans, and parents finding the best for their children. Which is why he chose Richmond as the home base for Alamat Basketball Club.

Growth spurts, more aggressive play, this is the age when the boys become men. Sept - Dec 2013 are eligible as well.
The division, where you start playing children that are similar in age. Sept - Dec 2014 are eligible to play as well.
The start of youth basketball, children as young as Gr. 3 will start their basketball journey here. Alamat will not accept below Gr. 3.

Trained under Phil Handy, and part of his 94feetofgame program, Coach RJ has used his years of knowledge and experience to pass on to upcoming young children that are seeking basketball as an outlet or a foundation of the type of adults they want to be.
He focuses mostly on the fundamentals of basketball that include, but is not limited to handles, rebounding, game sense, and passing, just to name a few.

Who best to help Coach RJ in his Journey to bring BCBasketball to the next level, then Coach's original trainee, Coach Liam. having trained under his father for all his life, Coach Liam has reached heights of 3 time defensive player on his his three Champion Winning team St Patrick's Secondary School.
Coach Liam focuses on defensive intensity, agility, and shooting just to name a few.
